The Future World of Work

The Minister for Youth, Gabrielle Williams MP invites you to attend the Victorian Government’s third annual Youth Summit on Friday 5 April 2019 as part of Victorian Youth Week.

The theme for this year’s Youth Summit is ‘The Future World of Work'.
Rapid global, technological, social and environmental changes are transforming the way we work, where we work and the kind of work we do.

The Youth Summit will explore these changes and the implications for young people. We’ll be seeking your views on how government, business and the community can help prepare young people for the future world of work.

Featuring keynote speaker Natalie James, Chair of the Victorian Government’s Inquiry into the Victorian on-demand workforce, Partner at Deloitte and former Federal Fair Work Ombudsman.

Where: Marvel Stadium, Victory Room, 740 Bourke Street, Docklands, Melbourne

When: 9.30am to 3.30pm on Friday 5 April 2019

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided

Written permission from a parent or guardian is required for young people under 18 to attend. Visit youthcentral.vic.gov.au/youthsummit to get more information and copies of the consent forms.

Registrations close: Monday 1 April 2019

Getting there

By Train

  • Cross the Bourke Street Pedestrian Bridge from Southern Cross Station until you reach Gate 2. Turn to your left, walk to Gate 9 and follow the signs to the Victory Room.

By Tram

  • The Latrobe Street, Bourke Street and City Circle trams can be utilised to get to Marvel Stadium. Please refer to the map above once you alight the tram to ascertain the direction you need to travel to and around the venue to get to Gate 9.

By Taxi

  • Direct the taxi to stop on the Harbour Esplanade side of the venue.
  • Proceed up the steps next to AFL House turn to your right, proceeding to Gate 9 and follow the signs to the Victory Room.

By Private Vehicle (event rate $15 per day subject to availability)

  • Enter the Marvel Stadium car park via Bourke Street - Car Park Entry A (left ramp).
  • Park to the left of the venue and follow the signs to Gate 9.
  • Take the lift to Level 1 and follow the signs to the Victory Room.
